Spaghetti or Lasagna or Hoagie? Fundraiser for Our Cuba Family…
At a recent Coffee & Conversation, Jon had opened the discussion about money for ongoing nutritional support for our Cuba family and the monthly budget amount that would be required (It isn’t a large number). Rather than trying to make this a line item in our budget though, Mary Paillé volunteered Jeanette Robitaille and herself to do a fundraiser and just try to raise the whole amount in one fell swoop and have some community building fun while doing it.
People there liked the idea, so here are their preliminary thoughts and how you might be able to help...
Could you contribute to an auction to help raise funds?
Experiential auction items, such as a weekend stay at our cabin retreat. What could you offer up?
Do you have:
-A sailboat that someone could have an afternoon on, or a lesson this summer?
-Sleds to take someone out on the trails now? We may just have enough snow!
-An original art piece that someone could take home right away?
-Tickets to a play at King’s Wharf?
-Dinner for two in your home? At a restaurant?
-Private music session in your home while you entertain guests?
-Something else of value that people would want to bid on? Use your imagination
Would you be interested in helping put on the event?
